Class of '98

Upper Image

We came into our freshman year excited, but scared and nervous.  As Homecoming approached, we busily worked to prepare our freshman float, hall, and lip sync.  We ended up caging Josh as the float drove down the parade route and singing to "Monster Mash" at the pep assembly.  When Tip-Off rolled around our class learned how to swing while dancing to "At the Hop".

As sophomores we felt a little more comfortable around the school.  At the Homecoming lip sync Kyle dressed up as "Suzie Cockroach" and danced around in a dress.  We darkened the halls by covering the lights and making the hall look like a cave, and we made a giant ship for our float.  When Tip-Off came, we did a little better we performed "Sold".

Finally, as upper classmen, our junior year, we felt the feeling of victory.  We walked like Egyptians and made a cave out of our hall and float.  The greatest feeling yet came when we stomped all over the Senior Powder Puff team, leaving with the score of 28-22.

As seniors we felt anxious to get out, but before we did we put together a time machine and a montage of songs for our lip sync, turned Pat's truck into a ship, and made our hall an ocean.  Julie and Pat were crowned Queen and King for Homecoming.  We played a tough Powder Puff game, but in the end we were defeated 24-23, but who will forget Haylee's catch as she ran out from the sidelines.  Along the way we filled out application after application for scholarships and colleges, and finally we did it, we graduated from Emmett High School.

Congratulations and Good Luck class of 1998!
